VIRAL PANDEMIC

Best Practices for Job Sites:
A pandemic is a global disease outbreak. A viral pandemic occurs when a new influenza virus emerges for which there is little or no immunity in the human population, begins to cause serious illness and then spreads easily person-to-person worldwide. The Mon-May Company (TMMC) has set up a plan for pandemic influenza to minimize a pandemic's impact. TMMC has provided critical infrastructure services and have a special responsibility to plan for continued operation in a crisis and should plan accordingly. As with any catastrophe, having a contingency plan is essential.

The Mon-May Company enforces the following on every job site:

  • Use Social Distance – Stay 6 feet or more from other employees when possible.
  • Cease all meetings/trainings and gatherings of large groups, specifically indoors where the 6-foot rule cannot be achieved.
  • Wash your hands regularly for 20 seconds or use hand sanitizer.
  • Avoid touching your face.
  • Cover your mouth with your elbow when you cough/sneeze.
  • Used tissues must be discarded and not left on any surface. Flushing is best.
  • Do not bring in communal food offerings. Bring in only food for yourself.
  • Keep one operator on the same piece of equipment for the entire shift.
  • Water dispensers must have single use disposable cups. Individual water bottles are best.
  • Refrain from chewing tobacco or sunflower seeds. If you must, no spitting. Use a container and dispose in the trash.
  • If working in a confined space with others use N95 or P100 respirators.
  • When you get home, put your clothes in the wash or hamper and shower before greeting loved ones.
  • STAY HOME IF YOU ARE FEELING SICK.
